Instead of my annual visit to West Virginia for fall foliage, I decided, upon recieving a phone call from my good friend Alex, who was already in Vermont, that I should change plans and take a trip up there this year. It was a lot of driving, but I’m glad that I did. We photographed there for 4 days, based mostly out of the middle section of Green Mountain National Forest. The foliage was peak, and the weather was rainy and great for photography. This image is from one of many amazing creeks flowing out of the mountains, and will be the first of many photographs posted from Vermont.

Simply gorgeous, Chris. Nice colours, and a perfect SS. Only nit is the shadows on the middle right edge; they pull my eye away.
God bless,
Paul
Hi Paul,
Thanks – and I agree.
Nice shot. Reminds me so much of the Smokies. Envy you being in Vermont. Just posted a bunch of photos from Maine if you want to check out my site. Carol
Hey Carol,
Thanks for the comment. I haven’t been to the Smokies (though I am going next spring), but my friend who came with me to Vermont said the same thing – the streams in Vermont are very “Smokie-like”. I checked out your website, and likewise envy you for going to Maine. It is a place I’ve yet to really explore.
