Some photographer friends of mine have been in town the past couple days so I have been hanging out at Great Falls National Park with them to photograph landscapes and herons. This morning I lucked out with a very nice sunrise, perhaps the nicest I’ve ever photographed from the main overlook. Many more landscapes and herons to come!

This is amazing, Chris. I can only dream of grasping a bit of your knowledge of photography in my lifetime – but probably not.
Nice colors for sure. I haven’t seen an impressive sunrise or sunset in months!
Awesome! I love the mist.
Thanks guys! Would you believe the mosquitoes were absolutely atrocious up there?
This is awesome Chris!!! It was really great seeing you again!
Thanks everybody – I really really appreciate the comments!
Chris, you are very talented. Of course, Great Falls looks nothing as mystical as that. I tend to prefer natural (not modified) photos, but I admit this one is captivating, even if not a true representation of the subject.
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the comment. I’m curious, what exactly doesn’t look natural to you in this photo?
