Sandy Hook Reflections
Hello all - I’m back from New Jersey and hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
I didn’t get to do much shooting over the break, but Kari and I did manage to make a trip to Sandy Hook to do some shooting and meet up with a friend, Vito Paratore. Photographically, it wasn’t my best trip ever, though I did manage to come away with some decent abstract images. Here is one of my favorites:

I believe that abstract images should be able to stand alone based solely on their visual interest, but for the sake of fun I will reveal the subject of the photograph in 2 days in my comments section. Please feel free to guess in the meantime!

Great shot, Chris. I’m glad to see you managed to get something worthwhile there. It was great to finally meet you and Kari, as well.

As promised - the subject matter is some salt marsh grasses with golden light hitting them, reflected in water. The whole image was rotated 180 degrees (to make it seem more like fire rising up).

A lion’s mane! I like it.
