Thorton River in Spring, Shenandoah National Park
It has been pure torture not having my camera gear!
Luckily, today I was able to get out with my friend Alex Mody and borrow his camera to photograph some spring creek scenics. In this image, I choose an upstream vantage point near the base of a beautiful cascade. We ended up standing in the creek during a cold pouring rain, and it was a lot of fun. Thanks for letting me borrow the camera Alex!
In other news, the insurance is going to come through to cover my stolen gear and if all goes well I will be ordering new camera gear this upcoming Monday. I can’t wait!

Very nice place captured on the image. I also can’t wait to have my landscape gear to be able to make nice scenery images. Hope you get your stuff soon.

You mean you had to use Nikon? Uh oh.
Sweet shot. Great low vantage point and I love the spring colors. Is your NSN account working yet? I haven’t asked Royce about it, but Greg said he PMed you about something a while back, so I wasn’t sure if it fixed itself. Go post some shots in landscapes!

Nice work Chris. When you get that insurance money you should invest it in some Nikon gear :-} LOL!

Hey Everybody - thanks for the comments!
Joe - that Nikon gear makes me feel naughty, haha. I would if I could get both to compare, but think I’ll just stick with what I know for now. I also like being able to have the lighter landscape lenses for backpacking.
